Today we were planning on going to Sea World to try to get some use out of our season passes but decided we didn't want to make the drive. So instead we told Abby we would go to the zoo. We had a good time but were all so hot and sweaty after a while that we decided it was time to go. But while we were there, Abby saw the carosel and wanted to go on it so bad and she got so excited. Well this is an extra cost so I said we'd just let her do it and I'd keep Hannah. Poor little Hannah wanted to get on so bad she was trying to get through the bars. So I felt guilty and decided to fork out the extra money 2 seconds before it started. She went crazy and was so excited that it was totally worth it. Anyway here's some pictures of the day. They both were asleep about 5 minutes after we got in the car.
On another note:
*Joe got offered a job at The O'Quinn Law Firm working as a law clerk part time while he goes to school full time. Sad news...we probably won't see him much at all. So that will be nice we will have at least a small amount of income now with our student loans.
*Joe found out he won the University of Houston's NACLE student paper competition and was invited to present his paper in Ottawa, Canada at a conference in October. There are only 5 students from the US, 4 from Canada, and 4 from Mexico that get to attend this conference. So this is pretty exciting news for us. Sad news...I'd like to go with him since all his expenses are paid for but I don't think I'm going to be able to since he probably won't have time to hang out with me at all. But it's still exciting.

wow, Sierra, that is awesome. Congrat to Joe! And income is always good, although it will be hard seeing him even less. At least it's only two more years, right? It's all going to be worth it. The zoo looked like fun!
That is great news! Joel worked over the summer and it helped so much. IT sucks living on student loans huh? Only TWO more years!!!

Wow, that's exciting! Congrats and nice job Joe! I hope you all will still get some time together with such a busy schedule. At least you know it won't always be like this and will get better once school it done.

i guess it's good news for joe and bad news for you! congrats joe. both of those things are exciting. i guess that just means that sierra will have to come to austin more often!!
