Soccer starts

Who knew soccer would be so stressful before Abby ever started playing? And I don't even like soccer. But since sadly the girls decided they wanted to quit dance, we thought we'd give this a try and let Abby decide what she likes best. Hannah couldn't play because you have to be 5 by the end of the year. So she can watch and see if she thinks she might want to try it next year.

We got a call a week before saying practices would be on Sunday. To try and make a really long complicated week of events, phone calls, emails, etc...they said it would be fine that there was someone on the other team that said they couldn't practice on Sundays either, and that they would for sure change it, it wouldn't be a big deal. Then we heard that it was required to change it from a Sunday if people on the team had beliefs that caused them not to practice on Sundays. Well no one honored that, they just kept telling us to practice with one team and play games with the other. I don't know how that sounds to others, but to us that makes a huge difference and the whole point of a team is playing AND practicing together. Anyway after all was said and done, late the night before the first game, we finally found a way to switch teams, and our friend found out minutes before the first game that they could switch to the new team too. So after all the stress and complications...it all worked out how it should.

It was a lot of fun to watch her play since she has no clue about soccer. But she wasn't afraid at all. You could tell she would be a ball hog if she could. She's not my girliest girl, that's for sure. She really enjoyed it and it will be nice to actually practice first before the game on Saturday. Joe was asked to be the team photographer. He may or may not have taken too many pictures to look through (571 to be exact). So there may be a lot on here but now you know why.

She loved having the ball, no matter how she got it

Abby loved being goalie, but was mad because she didn't get the ball at all. I told her this was a good thing, that it meant her team was doing a good job keeping the ball on the other side, but she was still upset she didn't get to touch the ball.

Tunnel...thanks to the coach's husband for taking Audrey almost the whole game, since Joe was the photographer and didn't get to help me much... Hannah and Weston played at the park the whole time, so I actually got to watch a lot of the game

Also this past weekend, we had the opportunity to go to a Gala in The Woodlands with Joe's firm. We left early since on the way back from picking up the babysitter, Weston decided to throw up all over. But my awesome friend was so willing to take him, even if he was going to throw up the whole time we were gone. He didn't throw up again luckily, but we decided to leave anyway to get back to everyone. But it was fun to get ready especially since that same friend was willing to do my hair and make up to get ready. And thanks to her we have this one picture...
