Houston Aquarium

Abby's preschool teacher organized a trip to the Aquarium downtown. And since this was my week to teach Hannah's preschool, we took advantage and went as our preschool too, along with other preschools we know. The girls and I had so much fun. Weston didn't care too much for sitting in the stroller the whole time, but he made the best of it and took a short nap for part of it which ended up being the only nap he took all day.

Hannah's favorite was probably touching, petting, the sting rays and star fish. She just kept asking to do it again and again, she probably could have stayed in that part all day. Abby didn't want to touch them which was fine with me, she went under in the little bubble so she could look up at all of them instead. And getting in the mask...Hannah was too short but decided she would just climb her way up and hold on to the face part with her fingers... she didn't want to get down.

We saw lots of cool fish and other under water creatures. Then we got to the tiger. The girls were not such big fans of him. And he was really active and even stretched out and stood up against the window. But I did get them to stand next to the glass at least to get a decent picture with it behind them. But then when we got to the fake one they were scared but did it anyway.

Then to the rides: the ferris wheel, a train through the park and also through a shark tunnel with sharks of all kinds surrounding us and ended with a "pretend" shark jumping out and splashing at the end, and a carousel. They loved them all, so we did them each twice. And it was the perfect day out to make it even more fun. Hopefully we can do it again next year.

That sounds really hectic to take your own preschool, and be there for Abby's class. Was it kind of crazy? I like that you were able to take them on all the rides twice as well as let Hannah do all the things that she liked.

Your hair is getting so long. I like it. I am really impressed with your skills for doing the preschool and making sure that you watched over all your kids in a aquarium of all places.

LOVE your picture collage! And neither of my kids would touch the fish... oh well!

P.S. Can you send me that picture of the 5 girls on the train?
