The Move

Well it is done. We have moved....finally! We moved in later on a Friday night and had lots of help from great friends who have helped us through many moves now. It was nice we didn't have to pack much we just had to move it from a friend's garage to a few blocks away. Our plan was to get the beds up that night and that was it but of course once we got in Joe and I stayed up half the night unpacking the kitchen and then the toy room of all places. He wanted the kids to wake up and see all their toys again and have it be like Christmas all over again. So that was the first thing we unpacked. And they did wake up excited and trying to take it all in.

The house we liked the best was willing to let us rent it for a month or two before we close so that we could move in right away. It has been great. We have now been here for a little over two weeks and have had everything unpacked for almost 2 weeks now. We were quick and ready to be in a house and we didn't have Internet or TV for a week, so we made a lot of progress that first week and not much since then. We have nothing hanging on the walls yet b/c we aren't sure what to do with them but other than that we are finished for the most part until we can afford to do fun stuff with it. Joe has already learned how to put up porch lights on both sides of our garage, install 2 ceiling fans, put hand towel racks in each bathroom, and install surround sound in the media room, etc. It's been fun getting started but will probably take quite a while til we have the furniture and decorations that we want.
