Milestones in March

It looks like I'm only getting to this monthly these days....so we'll just sum up the whole month in one long post once again, well as much as I can remember from this month. Hannah's preschool visited the Butterfly Exhibit at the Museum of Natural Science downtown... not an awesome picture...but I think this was the majority of the preschool class and Abby came along with us too.

BFFE

Weston just mostly enjoyed all the technology and computers there.... Hannah's favorite butterfly while we were there (the orange one) this picture of Hannah appeared when I downloaded pictures from my camera onto the computer....so Weston or Abby took it at some point, but I kinda liked it, return address sticker and all. For Spring Break, my parents came up and spent most of the week with us. Well, mostly my mom since my dad had to go out of town from here once for work, and work one day in The Woodlands, but we enjoyed having them. Me and my mom were finally able to go shopping in Old Town Spring. (something I've wanted to do for 3.5 years now and was finally able to get a babysitter so we could go). We also got to use our membership to the zoo on a perfect weather day. checking out the big turtles with Papa trying to be like dad, while waiting for all the girls to go potty They got a new part where you can buy lettuce and feed the giraffe...that was fun

We got to start going to a new church that they just finished building that is now about 1/3of the distance as our last one.

Abby got to give her first talk in primary and my parents were able to be here for it. She did awesome with one day's notice! She is super sensitive and is afraid of getting up in front of people. Her main reason she was so scared this time is that she didn't want to talk to loud into the mic. I told her just to scoot back a little if it's too loud and then she was afraid she would fall off the stool she was going to stand on. But she did great, not too loud, and no falling down. We are so proud of her.

Weston likes to lay on the stairs when he gets tired...here the girls joined him

We finally upgraded to a king size bed after all these years, and passed our awesome queen bed down to Weston so he could get finally start sleeping in a big boy bed. (5 months after Abby and Hannah were moved into a bed) And he is doing Awesome sleeping in it. He's just on the floor with the box springs and mattress. We are hoping he can get a bed frame for his birthday, I know that's at the top of his list!!

Weston is well on his way being potty trained as of this week. He may not ask to go, but he holds it every time and goes every couple of hours. We have had no accidents on the carpet and only a couple little ones on the tile the first day. He has been super easy so far, way way easier than either of the girls and he's starting earlier. I'm kind of anal about milestones (bottles, binkies, milk, potty training, bed, etc.) and helping teach my kids instead of letting them think they can do everything when/how they want. And today we went out for a while for the first time and he even went potty at the store. I am so proud of him! So now I'm out of diapers for the first time in 5.5 years .... for another 8-9 weeks.

This horse is a new toy too that we received from some really nice people who were trying to find a nice home for him for sentimental reasons. Let's just say it's pretty much all they do anymore. The girls try to see who can get the bottoms to come off the ground the highest. Weston LOVES horses but was a little nervous at first but has quickly decided there is nothing to be scared of and can almost get as much air as the girls.

*And last night he got out of bed and knocked on his door mm about an hour after we put him to bed and Joe went up to see what he needed....he needed to give the horse a drink of milk (from the play kitchen set)...then he could go to sleep.

Oh and we got the girls' rooms painted as well as baby Audrey's room. Rooms are not finished so stay tuned for pictures as soon as I can get them more complete.

And there's March...now onto April.
