Hannah turned 5 on Tuesday, the 12th, and man, she made sure people knew it was her birthday and reminded her brother and sister all day. She was good though, it started out with swimming lessons in the morning, then we came home for a little bit and then had lunch at Chick Fil A. When we got home it was time to get ready for her birthday party.
Her party invitations we made on my silhouette and then Joe said I needed to laminate them and put a magnet on them. The magnet part never did happen though.
The cake making...
Abby posing for me
the finished tie dye cake....not perfect I know, but it worked
beading bracelets
decorating the aprons
bean bag toss
painting sun catcher chimes
the birthday girl
the girls
and according to Hannah, it's not a birthday without a pinata
they were so patient
balloon relay
she was so excited about the topsy turvy doll that she's wanted since our Florida trip
My dad just happened to have a dr. appointment on her birthday here, so they were able to make it right after the birthday party started. So it was fun to have all her grandparents here to celebrate her birthday and party with her.
We planned on going out to dinner that night all together, but as soon as her party ended, we ended up having a pretty big storm, so we decided to do take out and eat at home. She loves honey seared shrimp, so Pei Wei was the perfect place. I'm pretty sure her favorite food is shrimp. This girl can eat more shrimp than most adults if it's the right kind for her. She loves it!
She got a snow cone machine for her birthday so we had snow cones after dinner and then called it a night! I think she had a great birthday and felt special all day! Her stats now are 39.75 inches and weighs 35 lbs.
