The Griffin Gang: Date Nights

The past few weekends, Joe and I have had lots of things going on. I feel like our weekends for the rest of the year are already filled up, but we are enjoying it. But we've had some events in the past month that I thought should be documented.

Last weekend we were invited to a 40's Mystery Night. I had no idea what the style or fashion of the 40s was, but we sort of figured it out. It was a lot of fun.

My hair and make up were done by pros...

The next night we had a gala to go to with Joe's work.

And then some randoms from the week...

Hannah had to get 3 fillings...first time for any of our kids to undergo anything like this...

after taking some sedation meds, waiting in the waiting area, getting sleepy

she was awesome and didn't move the whole time, and came home and slept 4 more hours...

waiting again afterwards before they would let us go home, we had to wait for the peak of the sedation stuff to hit...

FunRun Day at school! Abby's 3rd and Hannah's 1st time. Abby LOVES to run, Hannah is more like me and doesn't like it so much, but she did great anyway!

And this last weekend, instead of dressing up for a Halloween party, a friend had the idea of everybody bringing a brown bag full of dress up stuff (not necessarily a costume, just different accessories or things for someone to wear). We picked a number and got to pick a bag in that order, and had to wear whatever was in the bag for the night out. We went to dinner and dessert. We got lots of looks and stares, and comments, and honestly I felt like the biggest nerd, but it was so much fun! And I think I may have been the luckiest in the costume part, since I just had to wear a size 13 pair of cowboy boots and a cowboy hat...I was feeling pretty good about the whole thing.
